I found the recipe here, but of course I'll just post it over again.
Frosted Fudge Brownies
REQUIRES SOFTENED BUTTER
Brownies
1 cup plus 3 tablespoons butter, cubed
3/4 cup baking cocoa
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Melt butter in a saucepan. Remove from heat; stir in cocoa.
- In a large bowl, beat eggs and sugar.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually add to the egg mixture.
- Stir in vanilla and cooled chocolate mixture until well blended.
- Spread into a greased 13x19 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-28 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean (do not overbake). Cool on a wire rack.
6 tablespoons butter, softened
2 2/3 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup baking cocoa
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 to 1/3 cup milk
- In a large bowl, cream butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in cocoa and vanilla.
- Add enough milk so that the frosting is spreadable. (You may end up using more than 1/3 cup milk.)
- Spread over brownies once cool. Cut brownies into bars.
